Loading page contentPortfolio and e-commerce website for a Cyprus interior design firm — sister brand to GDM Architecture.
GDM Interior operates as the sister brand to GDM Architecture, providing end-to-end interior design services — from initial concept and space planning through material procurement and on-site supervision. With a growing portfolio of residential projects, commercial fit-outs like Office 0222, and development interiors for projects like Nexus Suites and Stadiou Life, the practice needed a website that could do more than just show pretty pictures.
The firm had three distinct needs that their previous web presence couldn't address. First, a portfolio that communicated the depth of their design process — not just finished spaces, but the thinking, materials, and craft behind each project. Second, a content platform that would establish GDM Interior as an authority in the Cyprus interior design space and drive organic search traffic. Third, an e-commerce channel to sell curated design products — furniture, lighting, and accessories — that their clients and followers were already asking about.
The challenge was to combine these three functions — portfolio, editorial, and retail — into a single cohesive website that felt premium, reflected the GDM brand, and didn't overwhelm visitors trying to navigate between sections.
Techlink coordinated with GDM Interior's design director and the GDM Architecture team to ensure brand coherence between the two sister sites while giving each its own distinct identity. We mapped the user journeys for the three primary audiences — prospective design clients browsing the portfolio, readers discovering GDM through blog content, and shoppers looking for design products — and designed the information architecture to serve all three without friction.
We selected WooCommerce for the shop integration, allowing the design product catalogue to live natively within the WordPress ecosystem alongside the portfolio and blog, managed through a single CMS dashboard.
We built a custom WordPress and WooCommerce platform that unifies GDM Interior's portfolio, editorial content, and product shop under one roof. The portfolio section presents each project through curated image galleries, material palettes, and narrative descriptions that communicate the design intent — not just the finished result. Project pages are structured to tell the story of each space, from the brief through concept development to the completed interior.
The design journal functions as both an SEO engine and a brand-building tool, with articles on trends, material guides, and behind-the-scenes project features written for discoverability and shareability. The integrated shop presents curated design products with the same visual polish as the rest of the site, complete with product photography, descriptions, and secure checkout — allowing GDM to monetise their taste and curation beyond billable project work.
We'd love to achieve results like these for your business too.
